STEMmates is excited to announce our collaborative partnership with EdTech company, Moonshot Jr.
Based in Silicon Valley, USA, Moonshot Jr is an educational-management start-up specializing in entrepreneurial and innovation-centric programs for children.
Moonshot Jr aims to remodel the concept of empowering today’s innovators and turning them to become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs. Their model of learning through project-based lessons and product development experience aligns with STEMmates’ own ethos of cultivating curiosity, imagination and passion about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
Shared objectives and vision
Together, the 2 companies aim to bring courses and workshops specifically tailored for young learners, uncovering and nurturing not only STEM skills, but evolving these into STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) as well.
Alok Jain, CEO, and Co-founder of Moonshot Junior, says that both organizations have similar objectives, and would therefore be easier to align our strategies and expand their respective footprints.
“At Moonshot Junior, we offer a unique four-stage project-based learning approach and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset through experiential learning. STEMmates impart STEM education through practical sessions that help kids to learn and apply STEM concepts that are in line with the current school curriculum. Technology plays an increasingly critical role in our learning modules and it will accelerate the learning solutions to make children future-ready,” says Alok.
Supporting education and remaining future-focussed
STEMmates co-founders Santosh Majety and Anil Nair are looking forward about partnering with a like-minded company that shares their belief that learning should not be confined to the classroom.
“With STEM and STEAM—the A in the acronym referring to the Arts, alongside Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths—firmly a focus in schools, and being at the core of what has been coined the jobs and economy of the future, we looked to address the question: What can we do to further the interest of our kids in these subjects?” says Anil.
“We believe that Moonshot Jr’s SaaS-based offering would be a perfect complement to what we are looking to achieve in terms of supporting kids’ education while encouraging them to build, develop and engage with fundamental STEM and STEAM concepts and principles. We’re looking forward to working collaboratively in giving kids the best chance at success in STEM and STEAM,” concludes Santosh.
